Head of Community & Events @ Dreamers & Doers

We’ve built a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem of ~35,000 women globally. At the core of Dreamers & Doers is our private collective, a highly curated members-only community of ~700 extraordinary women.

Since our launch over 7 years ago, we’ve taken a slow and steady approach to growth. As our next critical and senior team member, you will be integral to shaping the future of Dreamers & Doers and entrepreneurship as a whole.

About the Role:

We’re hiring a Head of Community & Events. This is a highly visible role that will significantly increase the success of our members and their ventures while building meaningful relationships along the way.

This role might be perfect for you if you are an authentic and results-driven connector and relationship-builder who can’t help but make mutually beneficial introductions. You have a diverse worldview and can connect with people from various backgrounds. You have significant work or entrepreneurship experience and love being a resource to others. You’re strategic and always thinking about how to improve and grow what you’re working on. You’re obsessed with thoughtful communication and crafting memorable experiences. 

In this role you will work side-by-side with the CEO/Founder and also manage a small team which includes 1 full-time and 2 part-time team members.

We are open to this being a full-time or a part-time role if you’re able to contribute at least 15-20h per week, a few hours every day (and are able to increase your hours over time). 

Responsibilities Include:

Online Community Leadership + Engagement

  • Being the face of Dreamers & Doers in our private collective’s online community 
  • Connecting our high-caliber members with each other via thoughtful 1x1 introductions 
  • Providing hands-on support to members based on asks and struggles they share
  • Crafting impactful (and sometimes slightly vulnerable) conversation starters
  • Observing the community for ways to improve the experience and streamline operations

Community Strategy + New Initiatives

  • Creating a playbook for “interest groups” that we can launch to further support members 
  • Tracking and analyzing engagement metrics, churn and new member referrals 
  • Communicating with potential partners to create high-value offers for members (e.g. speaking opportunities)

Event Strategy + High-Level Execution

  • Developing virtual programming that is exciting and impactful (this involves a mix of educational and thoughtful social events)
  • Facilitating and moderating virtual events, including welcome calls for new members
  • Project managing a small team to execute on event logistics

➡️ Entrepreneurship (including former founders), community leadership, management consulting, venture capital, communications, content strategy, editorial, business development, event management etc. could all be a potential fit.

You Have/Are:

  • 5-10+ years of overall work experience
  • High EQ, strong judgment and excellent relationship-building skills
  • Formidable written and spoken communication
  • Impressive and varied work experience that will aid in supporting members
  • Expertise in or demonstrated excitement about entrepreneurship
  • Experience running communities and bringing people together
  • A strategic thinker with attention to detail and results-driven executor
  • Proactive, highly organized, and extremely reliable

You Ideally Have/Are:

  • A strong existing network that you can leverage to support member
  • Event management, moderation, and public speaking experience

Salary Range: Full-time, $75K-$95K, commensurate with skills and experience.
