Help build a new mission-driven category of food.

Joyride is a new line of on-the-go snacks to help manage your blood sugar, and will be launching products in early 2022. We are a venture-backed pre-revenue company with strategic partners and top advisors in place.

We are initially targeted to people with prediabetes or diabetes that make up almost half of the US population. Our mission is to make healthy food options accessible where people need them the most, specifically in food deserts around the country.

We have some of the top people in food, cpg and diabetes education behind us developing the best low-glycemic products - in addition to pre-seed funding from top investors in startups and food.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and mission-driven COO to help set the foundation for a differentiated and scalable retail brand.

What you will do

• Build a strong culture of trust, inclusion, mutual respect, that helps bring out the best in others
• Be part of the founding team, and building a company and culture from the ground up
• Create and deliver financial plans.
• Manage the sales teams
• How do we grow and prioritize sales channels
• Own the full offline customer journey, including managing the full supply chain and associated logistics.
• Build the foundation for a scalable operations function, and lead the day-to-day operations of the business
• Set goals for growth, performance and profitability.
• Forge strategic partnerships and relationships with clients, vendors, banks, investors and all other professional business relationships.
• Wear many hats as needed in an early-stage company - jump in to marketing, finance - have the ability to scale up or scale down as needed
• Brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies
• Sign off P&L Revenue growth plans and be responsible to ensure our facilities and infrastructure can ensure capacity needs.

What you bring

• A breadth of experience across multiple verticals, or deep expertise within a few, including but not limited to: FMCG, CPG Business Operations, Customer Experience, Sales and/ or Brand Management
• Proven ability to operate with tenacity and agility, moving easily to address new challenges and opportunities, with limited structure
• A deep curiosity combined with a learning mindset
• A relentless focus on consumer needs and experience
• Previous experience at a consumer-facing startup is a plus but is not required
• Interest in health and wellness
• Knowledge/ Interest in Diabetes or low-glycemic eating is a plus, but not required
