Who We Are

Noula makes personalized, reproductive health information and support accessible to all. Noula decodes pre and postnatal health insights at-home via an affordable test kit and provides culturally competent, personalized care plans to help members lead healthy pregnancies, births and beyond. Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for our first technical hire to collaboratively execute the product vision of Noula’s mobile app. As an early-stage startup, we’re looking for someone excited about the opportunity to own and define our tech stack, engineering culture, team, and best practices.

 

Responsibilities

  • Execute upon the technical direction for Noula’s initial mobile/web product
  • Build scalable and secure systems, and employ quality assurance to deliver an inclusive user experience
  • Own relationships with development partners

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer for web applications, and/or iOS, Android
  • Experience building mobile-first products with end-to-end ownership of feature and infrastructure development (Preferred, not necessary. If you've done this in a hackathon, we'd love to learn more!)
  • Experience working with a JavaScript frontend framework such as React or equivalent
  • Experiences in API integrations, particularly with Twilio (Preferred, not necessary)
  • Exemplary communication and teamwork skills; able to explain solutions to non-technical team
  • Desire to be an early partner and build systems from the ground up.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously under ambiguity.
  • Passionate about improving healthcare and creating solutions for equitable maternal and reproductive care.

 

Nice to Have

  • Ability to work within AWS or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience working within privacy and regulatory constraints with health or government data
  • Experience working at a digital health startup
  • Proficiency in Spanish

 

Location

Remote (US-based only)

Our team is based in New York, NY but embraces remote work.
